Stamp Out Elder Abuse PRIVACY POLICY

Stamp Out Elder Abuse is committed to ensuring the privacy of both its individual and business users’ information while using the Stamp Out Elder Abuse website (the application). Therefore, we have developed this policy to govern the collection and use of users’ information and realize our commitment to keeping Stamp Out Elder Abuse, its application, and its practices consistent with industry practices.

INFORMATION˙ COLLECTION

This application collects users’ personal information through a variety of ways, though most information must be voluntarily provided. This consists of their geolocation information, and login information for Facebook, Twitter, e-mail, and similar services. These types of information must be provided voluntarily to Stamp Out Elder Abuse, almost always through the application. While a user may choose to withhold any of these types information from the application, this can severely limit the ability of the application to function, especially if the user choose to disable geolocation services. For businesses, Stamp Out Elder Abuse may solicit additional information, such as address, type of business, and hours of operation, through mail, e-mail, phone, in-person solicitation or comparable means.

The application also automatically receives certain information about the devices used to access it. This information includes the IP address used to access the Internet, user’s Internet service provider’s name, browser type, type of mobile device, and operating system. Stamp Out Elder Abuse uses all this information to analyze trends among users and to help improve the application.

It is the intent of this application to use personal information only for the purpose for which it was requested and any additional uses specifically provided by this application.

Stamp Out Elder Abuse can and does collect nonpersonal information, which cannot be traced back to a specific user (e.g. the number of users in Boston on a given day).

Stamp Out Elder Abuse does not collect or store the information sent to third parties, such as Facebook or Twitter, through the application. However, that information may be visible to others through those third parties.

USE OF COOKIES

Stamp Out Elder Abuse uses cookies. A cookie is a small piece of data or text file downloaded to users’ devices. Cookies may contain text that can be read by a web server that delivered the cookie to the user. The text contained in the cookie generally consists of a sequence of letters and numbers that uniquely recognizes the device, but it may contain other information as well. By agreeing to accept Stamp Out Elder Abuse use of cookies the user is giving Stamp Out Elder Abuse permission to place some or all the cookies described below on the user’s device.

Performance or Functional Cookies: These cookies collect information about the use of the application such as pages visited, traffic sources, users’ interests, content management, affiliate tracking, and other measurement analyses.

Advertising Cookies: These cookies are usually placed and used by advertising companies to develop a profile of users’ browsing interests and serve advertisements on other mobile apps and websites that are related to users’ interests.

Session cookies: These cookies allow mobile apps to link the actions of a user during a browser session. They may be used for a variety of purposes such as remembering what changes a user has made to content or what content they have viewed. Session cookies also permit users to be recognized as they navigate a mobile app so that any item or page changes they make are remembered from page to page. Session cookies expire after a browser session, thus are not stored long term.

Persistent cookies: These cookies are stored on a user’s device in between browser sessions which allow the preferences or actions of the user to be remembered. Persistent cookies may be used for a variety of purposes including remembering users’ choices and preferences when using a mobile app

Stamp Out Elder Abuse also uses cookies to allow users to connect with social media. Those sites likely have different cookie policies than the one contained here, and users are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with them prior to connecting with social media.

Most mobile browsers can be set to disable the use of cookies. However, if the user disables cookies, the user may not be able to access features in the application correctly or at all.

INFORMATION USE

Stamp Out Elder Abuse may collect, store, and use information provided by users to facilitate use of the application, and to keep users informed about nearby deals that may be of interest to them.

Stamp Out Elder Abuse does not sell or rent users’ personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. However, Stamp Out Elder Abuse may use users’ non-identifiable, non-personal information for data aggregation purposes, which might be sold to other parties at Stamp Out Elder Abuse discretion. Any such data aggregation would not contain any personal information. Stamp Out Elder Abuse may provide users’ personal information to affiliates and third parties that provide services related to the application such as payment processors (for business users), content and software providers, promotional service providers, and other service providers. Stamp Out Elder Abuse also shares information with third parties by using an Application Program Interface “API.” Such third parties include but are not limited to Facebook.com and Twitter.com. This sharing of information helps Stamp Out Elder Abuse provide users with a better experience when using the application. It also provides Stamp Out Elder Abuse with useful information such as visitor traffic.

Users may choose to link Stamp Out Elder Abuse with Facebook, Twitter, e-mail, or a text messaging application. These third parties are not covered by this privacy policy and Stamp Out Elder Abuse can make no guarantees as to how they might utilize its users’ information. Stamp Out Elder Abuse strongly recommends its users review the Privacy Policies of third parties before linking them with the application.

To safeguard its user’s privacy, v will only send information to these third parties with explicit authorization from the user, and then only the authorized information.

Stamp Out Elder Abuse may be legally required to disclose users’ personal information if such disclosure is (a) required by subpoena, law, or other legal process; (b) necessary to assist law enforcement officials or government enforcement agencies; (c) necessary to investigate violations of or otherwise enforce our legal terms; (d) necessary to protect Stamp Out Elder Abuse from legal action or claims from third parties, including you and/or other members; (e) necessary to protect the legal rights, personal/real property, or personal safety of our company, users, employees, and affiliates. Such disclosures may or may not be made with notice to Stamp Out Elder Abuse’s users.

Stamp Out Elder Abuse is the owner of all metadata generated by its users.

Stamp Out Elder Abuse will periodically and securely destroy or delete stored users’ information as it becomes obsolete for the purposes set out in this Policy.

CHILDREN’S INFORMATION

Stamp Out Elder Abuse is not designed for the use of small children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children thirteen or younger. If Stamp Out Elder Abuse determines that it has inadvertently done so, Stamp Out Elder Abuse will immediately and securely destroy or delete any stored personal information collected from children thirteen or younger. Be aware that Stamp Out Elder Abuse do not verify the age of our users nor have any obligation to do so.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child is using the application, please contact us at steve@specialsaroundme.com. Stamp Out Elder Abuse may ask for proof of identification before removing any information to prevent malicious removal of information.

MANAGING YOUR INFORMATION

Users can update their information by contacting Stamp Out Elder Abuse using the contact information found at the bottom of this policy. Users have the right to request and access the type of personal information Stamp Out Elder Abuse has collected from them that is stored in electronic or paper format by Stamp Out Elder Abuse. Users also have the right to request that Stamp Out Elder Abuse delete any personal information which it has about them. If users want access to their personal information, to request to know what personal information Stamp Out Elder Abuse has collected about them, or to request that Stamp Out Elder Abuse delete their personal information, they must send an email with their request to: steve@specialsaroundme.com or contact Stamp Out Elder Abuse using the contact information at the bottom of this policy. However, Stamp Out Elder Abuse may keep personal information as needed to enforce its agreements and to comply with any legal obligations.

Users have the right to revoke their consent for Stamp Out Elder Abuse to use their personal information at any time.

Users can always opt-out of future unaffiliated third-party disclosures of their information. Such opt-out will not affect disclosures otherwise permitted by law including but not limited to: (i) disclosures to affiliates, (ii) disclosures to third-party service providers who provide certain services for Stamp Out Elder Abuse, such as credit card processing, computer system services, data management, or promotional services, (iii) disclosures to third parties as necessary to fulfill user’s requests, (iv) disclosures to governmental agencies, law enforcement departments, or otherwise required to be made under applicable law, (v) previously completed disclosures to third parties, or (vi) disclosures to third parties in connection with subsequent contests or promotions that users may choose to enter, or third-party offers which users may choose to Stamp Out Elder Abuse. If a user wants to opt-out of unaffiliated third-party disclosures or revoke their consent for Stamp Out Elder Abuse to use their personal information, they must send an email with the request to: Stamp Out Elder Abuse@.com

Some web browsers have settings that enable users to request that an application does not track a user’s movement within it. Our application does not obey such settings when transmitted to and detected by the application. Users can turn off tracking features and other security settings in their browser by referring to your browser’s user manual.

Users can always opt-out of receiving further email correspondence from Stamp Out Elder Abuse or its affiliates. Stamp Out Elder Abuse will not sell or rent users’ email address to any unaffiliated third party without user’s permission except in the sale or transfer of our business.

DISCLOSURES TO SUCCESSORS

Stamp Out Elder Abuse is sold or merges in whole or in part with another business that would become responsible for providing the mobile app to you, Stamp Out Elder Abuse retains the right to transfer users’ personal and nonpersonal information to the new business. The new business would retain the right to use users’ information according to the terms of this privacy policy as well as to any changes to this privacy policy as instituted by the new business.

RIGHTS OF THIRD PARTIES

If any postings you make to the application contain information about third parties, you need to make sure that you have permission to include them in your posting. While Stamp Out Elder Abuse is not legally liable for the actions of users, postings that violate the rights of others will be removed.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

It may be necessary from time to time to update the terms of this policy, and Stamp Out Elder Abuse retains the right to do so. Stamp Out Elder Abuse will inform users of any changes to this policy through in-app notifications, and may do so by other available means (e.g. e-mailing our business users). Users will at that time have the right to decide whether to continue using the application under the updated conditions.
